Do I need a plumbing license to install a softener?
Florida generally treats dedicated water-conditioning equipment differently from full plumbing contracting, but local permits, backflow, and main-line work still matter. That’s why we use a licensed plumbing partner when the job needs it — so it’s done cleanly and to code.
What’s the difference between city and well water?
City water here is typically hard and uses chloramines. Well water can add iron, sulfur, or bacteria concerns. Tell us which you have on the booking form so we bring the right test kit.
How long does install take?
Most whole-home softener + carbon installs finish in a single day. We’ll confirm access to the main line and a drain during the free test visit.
What about salt and filter changes?
Softeners need salt on a regular cadence; carbon and RO filters have replacement intervals. We offer maintenance plans so you don’t have to remember. TODO: publish plan prices.
